Thank you for the great costumes,
I wore to trick-or-treat.
Carefully crafted fantasies,
From head down to my feet.
Thank you for your company,
When I was always sick.
And in the doctors’ offices,
My scary tests went quick.
Thank you for inviting me,
To get out of my room.
Shopping ’round town for nothing,
And joining the lunch boom.
Thank you for still loving me,
As I’ve come into my own.
I’ve gotten more abrasive now,
The more that I have grown.
But one thing that will never change,
One thing that’s always true,
Is how much you’re appreciated,
And how much I love you.
