Finally.
Finally!
The harbinger of spring has come.
The flowers are blooming,
and the bees are collecting their nectar.
Maybe it’s a cliche,
But spring is special to me,
And this spring in particular,
Is more significant than any before.
We’ve all had a dark winter,
Literally and metaphorically,
So I refuse to dwell on it.
As I sit down to write,
A million topics come to mind,
But none of them are worth consideration.
Every thought is pain and conflict.
Opinions fly like missiles through the air,
Their exhaust poisoning the speaker,
And their impact destroying the hearer,
So I refuse to join the volley.
I’ll sit here and enjoy the breeze,
And feel the sun on my face,
And watch the birds on the wing.
So if you see me,
Please join me,
And we’ll while away the afternoon,
In benign conversation,
About the implications of starting the day,
On your left foot,
Or your right.
