Christian, do not despair,
For the eyes of the Father are upon you.
When hardship comes,
His sight has not turned away from you;
On the contrary,
He is giving you special attention.
Listen closely for the still small voice;
The Lord is not in the wind,
The Lord is not in the earthquake,
The Lord is not in the fire.¹
Instead, the Lord waits and tenderly calls.
Do not turn your face downward,
But cast your eyes up to heaven,
And meet the gaze of your Father who loves you.
In the reflection of His sparking eyes,
You’ll see the face of the Son.
Call out!
Answer His voice with gladness,
For your Savior is here,
And His comfort is on the horizon!
Feel the infinite love of the Father;
A love without exception,
A love without expectation,
A love freely given.
