“Love ya” is meaningless.
“Love you” is noncommittal.
“I love you” is the most potent phrase in the world,
With power to raise up one,
And destroy another.
To keep from danger,
And to lure into a trap.
To stabilize in a storm,
And to weaken unto folly.
“Sorry” is effortless.
“‘I’m sorry” is painful.
It tears us open,
And scrapes out our essence as a gift.
It leaves no question,
It brokers peace;
But cursed be the one who uses it as a weapon.
“I” displays confidence.
“I” takes responsibility.
“I” inspires.
“I” makes a vow.
“I” commits to this path.
“I” believes without any doubt.
What worth is what you have said,
If you haven’t said it of yourself?
