All praise to the Great Physician!
He who made the body,
Can as well mend the body.
You knit me together,
In my mother’s womb.1
You cemented my every bone,
You stitched together my every sinew,
You accounted for every cell of my flesh.
In the trillions they number,
And yet I exist unified as one body.
How evident is Your hand!
The Creator has created even me;
In His image He has created me.
Even now Your hand sculpts me as clay;
Lord that I never become hardened!
Soften my constitution with Your love,
Apply Your strong hand to my defects,
My body is by You and for You.
Even in my infirmity I will praise You,
For I know Your healing is due;
You glory will be shown through me,
As it was through the blind man.2
